"Grassroots football deserves to be seen." — Jamie Tarrant
Touchline Content was created to help grassroots football clubs maintain an active social media presence, even when time, volunteers or media resources are limited.
Why Touchline Content exists
Every weekend, thousands of football clubs take to the pitch.
But behind the scenes, many don't have a dedicated media team.
Social media often falls to whoever can spare the time that week — a volunteer, secretary, committee member, manager or coach.
Some clubs are fortunate enough to have experienced media volunteers. Many aren't.
That's why Touchline Content was created.
Touchline Content helps grassroots football clubs create clear, professional social media content quickly and consistently, without needing specialist media experience.
Whether you're promoting an upcoming fixture, posting live updates and matchday graphics from the game, announcing a new signing or sharing other important club news, the aim is simple:
Give clubs an easy way to keep supporters informed without making media another full-time job.
Our philosophy
Touchline Content isn't here to replace media managers.
Quite the opposite.
Clubs with dedicated media volunteers may still find it useful for speeding up repetitive posts and sharing the workload across their media team, giving them more time to focus on photography, interviews, video and telling the stories that make grassroots football special.
The real purpose of Touchline Content is to support clubs with limited time, limited volunteers or limited media resources.
It exists to help clubs maintain an active social media presence throughout the season, keeping supporters connected with their football club regardless of the size of the club or the number of people behind the scenes.
Because every grassroots football club deserves to be seen.
Created by Jamie Tarrant
I've run the media and social media for a non-league football club, so I know exactly what a matchday feels like from the other side of the phone: trying to write a decent post, put a graphic together and keep supporters updated while the game is still going on around you. Touchline Content grew directly out of that.
The project began in early January 2026 and continues to evolve through feedback from volunteers, clubs, testers and the wider non-league football community.
If you have suggestions, ideas or feedback, I'd love to hear from you.
